How We Built The Biome

When we first started building our woodland biome we started by getting a terrarium container, which was a clear rectangular shaped container. We had a few plants which grew in the woodlands to put in our terrarium so that it would be a living biome. We started off by putting about two inches of soil in the bottom of the terrarium and then we put the plants in. We had to dig little holes in the soil so that the plant roots could fit inside the container. Then we broke the plant’s roots so they could grow efficiently. The first plant that we put into the biome was a fern, which is a common plant in the woodland biome. We then planted some moss on the other side of the biome. Lastly, we planted little pine trees in the middle of the biome in between the fern and the moss. The only thing that we need to do to take care of the biome is water it.
